Gemini sits closest to Google. Being absent there is worth knowing about early.
Of the assistants worth watching, Gemini is the one wired most directly into the search ecosystem you already care about. Whether it names you when asked about your market is a question with an answer, and the answer is measurable.

Why it earns a place in the set
Gemini is Google-adjacent, and the same company decides what appears in AI Overviews and in ordinary search results. That does not mean the three surfaces agree, and in our own tracking they often do not, but it does mean a pattern showing up in Gemini is worth attention.
The practical case is simpler. You cannot tell whether being absent from an assistant is a platform quirk or a real problem with your visibility unless you are watching more than one. Three is enough to tell those apart.
Comparability is the whole design
We run the same question text, in the same week, across all three platforms, and hold the regional settings consistent so the comparison is fair. Two platforms naming you and one not is a fact about that platform. None of them naming you is a fact about you.
We are also honest about the limits. The platforms accept location signals differently, so we default to country only, because that is the setting all of them treat consistently. Setting something one platform honours and another ignores would quietly make the three incomparable, which defeats the point of running them together.
Don't know what these are? Don't worry, we've got you!
When a run fails, we say so
These are live calls to third-party systems and they sometimes fail. A failed call is recorded as a failure and shown as one, rather than being quietly counted as "not mentioned".
That distinction matters more than it sounds. A mention rate that silently counts errors as absences will show you a decline that never happened, and send you rewriting pages that were never the problem.
Readiness first
Before rewriting anything, check whether the assistant can read your site at all. Our AI readiness scan runs daily, costs nothing to run, and checks crawler access by purpose: blocking a search or user-fetch bot removes you from answers, while blocking a training bot is an editorial choice we report and never score against you.
A surprising share of missing-from-AI problems are one line in one file.
Common questions
Does Gemini visibility affect my Google rankings?
No. They are separate measurements. Being named by Gemini is not a ranking factor, and ranking well does not guarantee being named. Both are worth tracking, for different reasons.
How often are Gemini answers checked?
Weekly, on the questions you choose, with the country you set.
Why do the three platforms disagree so much?
They draw on different sources and weight them differently. The disagreement is useful: it separates a platform quirk from a real gap in your visibility.
Every plan gets all of it
We do not split this across tiers. Rank tracking, AI Overview presence, AI visibility across all three assistants, the daily AI readiness scan, security and domain health, Search Console, backlinks and audits are on every plan from £29 a month. Plans differ only in how much you track.
