Terms of service
The agreement between you and us. It covers what you can expect from the service, what we expect from you, and what happens when either side wants to stop.
1This agreement
These terms are between you and Lumatech Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 06082377. We call ourselves “we” and “us”, and we call you “you”.
“The service” means SEO Tracker for AI: this website, the application at app.seotrackerforai.com, our API and our MCP server. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it, and “you” means that company.
The service is sold for business use. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by anything in these terms.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of this agreement.
2Your account
- You must be at least 18 and give us accurate details, including a working email address.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself, and turn on two-factor authentication if you can.
- Tell us promptly at hello@seotrackerforai.com if you think someone else has access to your account.
- Accounts are for people, not for sharing. Give colleagues their own logins rather than passing one around.
3Workspaces and members
Your sites and data live in a workspace. Whoever created the workspace, or has been made an owner of it, controls who is invited, what they can see and who is removed. If you join a workspace belonging to your employer or a client, that workspace owner controls your access and can see the data in it.
Plan limits apply per workspace, and are shown on the pricing page and in the app. If you go over a limit we will tell you in the app rather than quietly stop collecting.
4Plans and payment
- Current prices, what each plan includes and add-on pricing are on the pricing page. Every account starts on the free plan, which needs no card and has no time limit. You are billed only for a paid plan you choose from within your account.
- Prices are shown excluding VAT. UK customers are charged VAT at the applicable rate. Business customers in the EU who give us a valid VAT number are reverse charged, and customers outside the UK and EU are outside the scope of UK VAT.
- Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or annually, on the anniversary of the date you subscribed, until cancelled. We issue a VAT invoice for each period.
- Card payments are taken by Stripe. You authorise us to charge your saved payment method for each renewal and for any add-ons or extra seats you enable.
- If a payment fails we will retry and email you. If it stays unpaid we may suspend the account, and we will tell you before we do.
- Upgrading to a paid plan takes effect immediately and is charged pro-rata for the rest of the current period. Moving to a cheaper plan, or back to the free plan, takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
5Cancelling, downgrading and refunds
You can cancel or downgrade at any time from your billing settings. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
- Cancellations and downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep the plan you paid for until then.
- We do not give partial refunds for time left on a period, including annual plans, unless the law requires it or we have got something badly wrong.
- Upgrades take effect straight away, and the change is reflected in your next invoice.
- After cancellation your data stays available for 30 days in case you come back, then we delete it. Export anything you want to keep before then, or ask us and we will help.
6Acceptable use
The important one: only add sites you own, run, or have permission to monitor. Tracking a competitor’s public search rankings is normal and fine. Pointing our security and audit scanning at a website you have no relationship with is not, and doing so is a breach of these terms.
You also agree not to:
- Break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or use the service to harass anyone.
- Resell, white-label or redistribute the service or its data as your own product without our written agreement. Using it to produce reports for your clients is fine and expected.
- Scrape, mirror or bulk-extract the service beyond your plan’s limits, or work around rate limits, quotas or access controls.
- Reverse engineer the service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without asking us first.
- Upload malicious code, or use the service in a way that degrades it for other customers.
If you find a security problem, please tell us at hello@seotrackerforai.com before telling anyone else. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and gives us a fair chance to fix it.
7Connected accounts and AI assistants
You can connect Google Search Console, and you can connect an AI assistant through MCP. Both are optional, and both are your choice to make and to undo.
- You confirm you are entitled to connect the accounts you connect, and to let us read the data in them.
- A connected assistant can read your data and set up tracking within your plan’s allowance (keywords, AI visibility questions, competitors and notes on your charts). It cannot change your plan, billing or account. When you ask it about your data, that data goes to whoever operates the assistant, under their terms. We are not responsible for what they do with it, for the answers they give, or for tracking they add at your request.
- Third parties can change or withdraw their APIs. If Google, a data provider or an AI platform changes what it offers, features that depend on it may change too, and we will tell you when that happens.
8What the data is, and what it is not
Search rankings, search volumes, backlink data and AI visibility results are measurements and estimates, taken at a point in time, partly from third-party providers. Search results are personalised and change constantly, and AI assistants give different answers to the same question on different days. We show you what we measured, honestly, including when a scan was blocked or a check could not run. We do not present a measurement as more certain than it is.
Nothing in the service is a guarantee of ranking, traffic, revenue or visibility in AI answers, and the recommendations it produces are suggestions rather than professional advice. Decisions you take on the back of the data are yours.
9Availability and support
We aim to keep the service running and its scheduled collection on time, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability and we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee. Maintenance, third-party outages and problems at our suppliers can all interrupt collection. Where a run is missed, we pick it up on the next scheduled run.
Support is by email at hello@seotrackerforai.com. We answer during UK business hours and aim to reply within one working day.
10Your content and our software
Everything you put into the service stays yours: your sites, keywords, questions, notes and site context. You give us the permission we need to store and process it in order to run the service for you, and nothing more. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
The service itself, its software, design and branding remain ours. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your account is in good standing. You may freely use and share the reports and exports the service produces for you, including with your clients.
11Suspension and closing your account
We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used unlawfully, that threatens the security or stability of the service, or where payment stays overdue. Except where the problem is serious or urgent, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
You can close your account at any time. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of any period you have paid for.
12Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that:
- We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, or for changes in your search rankings or traffic.
- Our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Where you pay nothing, that limit is one hundred pounds.
- The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
You agree to cover our reasonable losses if we are pursued by someone else because you monitored a website you were not entitled to monitor, or otherwise used the service in breach of section 6.
13Changes to the service and these terms
The product is actively developed, so features are added, improved and occasionally retired. We will not remove something significant that you rely on without telling you first.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will email account holders at least 30 days beforehand, and if you do not accept the change you can cancel before it takes effect. Price changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms, together with the privacy policy and the plan details you signed up to, are the whole agreement between us.
