Ask whether AI assistants are recommending you, and who they recommend instead
Your rankings can be perfect while you are absent from every AI answer in your market. These are different measurements and they need asking about separately.

You can hold position one on Google and be entirely missing from the answer ChatGPT gives to the same question. The assistant is not reading the results page in order. It is assembling an answer from sources it has decided to trust, and that set overlaps with the top ten results without being the top ten results.
This is genuinely new and most businesses have no measurement of it at all. They know their rankings. They have no idea whether they are in the answers.
What the assistant actually does
It reads your tracked questions across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and tells you your mention rate and your citation rate. Those differ: being named in the text and being linked as a source are separate outcomes and the second one sends traffic.
It reports which competitors appeared in the same answers, which is often the uncomfortable part, and which sources the assistants cited to build them. That last list is your link target list, handed to you.
It cross-references your AI readiness score, because the most common reason a business is missing from AI answers is not that its content is bad. It is that a crawler was blocked, or the content is structured in a way that cannot be lifted into an answer.
What comes back
Your mention and citation rate per platform, the competitors taking the space you are not in, the sources those answers are built from, and, if the cause is technical rather than editorial, which specific check is failing.
